Hi, I'm using an HP Envy notebook PC and when using f.lux I realized that, when looking at my screen from a higher angle than the screen is pointing, the light is actually more blue. There is an opposite effect for when looking at a lower angle than the screen is pointing, making the light more red.

        Yep that's a TN panel.

You'll want a laptop with a DC controlled non pwm (pulse width modulation) display.

Is there anything I can do to make this not happen, or am I out of luck?

Well you could connect to an external monitor and see if it's better.

Also I forgot to inform you that you'll want IPS in plane switching for the best viewing angles.

This is normal, and the only way to not see it quite so much is to get a better display.
