option to use monitor's settings at f.lux start as daytime settings, pretty please?
-
I have a specific monitor setting I use and very much prefer for my daytime use. To summarize, I can't find any way to avoid a sudden transition (settings snap or click a specific button) to or from my daytime settings. I don't want to go through it, please don't ask me whether I've tried x, y and z without trying yourself to avoid the jolt. n.b. for me, a snap when the evening transition starts is exactly the very worst time it could happen.
I see there's an api to determine settings, so I suspect it's doable. Have the evening especially fade start with a slow custom-to-f.lux daylight transition please.
The feeling of evening coming on is lovely. I love it.

So, have you tried setting the slow transition under preferences? it's 60 minutes, and I bet you might like it more.

Oh you're talking about transition speed! Both Mac and Windows are set to "fast-20 seconds" to help slower computers. You can change it to slow, 1 hour in the settings.

I'm after my "specific monitor setting" as the daytime color. I keep coming back but to f.lux but I have never found how to make it use what I use rather than its preselected daylight, and never found how to transition away or in without something that wrecks the peaceful experience. My display manager is Catalyst (amd card). If I've missed how to do it my sincere apologies in advance.
