I don't know if it matters to you now, but as you can see on this Reddit thread the issue is that both f.lux and Chrome depend on a few libraries in common. If you try to install 32-bit Chrome, then there's a conflict since 64-bit f.lux wants the 64-bit versions of those libraries. If you install 64-bit Chrome there should be no problem.

@echoRo Please search this forum. There has been at least 2-3 threads on this now, and I don't want to duplicate effort, also it's been quite some time since I've used f.lux on Linux.

Can you recommend a different tool? On my MacBook and my Windows PC f.lux is a real helpful tool to me, is there anything comparable to it which would get me the slow transition? I don't even wanna think about running Wine on my machine.

Just wondering if anyone managed to solve this? I'm on Ubuntu 14.04 and I have the same issue.

If not, is there a way to set xflux to transition gradually on the command line? It doesn't have a man page and I can't find a list of parameters anywhere.

      Ah there's a topic about this. :D
I have been doing my own research but I didn't know there was a topic about this haha.
Really fascinating how the whole thing started and what it is today. You should be proud! :D

After trying to remove flux-gui through the terminal, I get the notice that the command/file is not found. Trying to ruin xlfux and flux-gui result in the terminal telling me that neither are installed. Somehow xflux was removed when I installed flux-gui.

Yeah, there is a fix in one of the linux threads. The devs don't need to really update at the moment, they're very busy.

It's not available yet but we'd love to offer it. Hopefully Windows Phone will offer some better color management options in the future.
