I've got the same problem..

I'm on Linux Mint too and yesterday I installed F.Lux without issues. The thing is it doesn't work. Preview doesn't do anything either.

did you install all the python packages mentioned in the git page?

I just ran into this. It is available in 18.4 bionic, so if you edit the sources file: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/nathan-renniewaldock-ubuntu-flux-cosmic.list, and change cosmic to bionic on the first line, you'll be able to install it.

After some digging, seems f.lux may just be broken. I followed the steps from this ticket and confirmed I'm having that issue:

I went and installed redshift, and that works for me.

I know some tools but I don't think they are useful on a system level to connect them to f.lux.
For wine, personnaly, I find always problems with so i don't use it. You will be familiar with Linux GUI very quickly.

I had the same problem on Windows. I would hold down Alt + PgUp/PgDn and nothing was happening. But the solution was simple I just had to hold the Fn key as well! I hope that works for you too.

I think you should reInstall an alternative Operative System after formatting your HD/SSD (hard drive or solid state drive).

After this, try and download f.lux in your clean new OS.

I apologize. I posted at a bad time and I failed to look at which forum this is (I see now that it's the Linux forum).

Anyway, again, this is not the way f.lux is designed to work. This is also the first time I have seen someone say that they have this problem outside of Windows. Something must be interfering with f.lux on your computer.
